What “you never know,” is what someone may be dealing with. What they are going through can be something you could have never imagined. Many times, we go about life dealing with our own personal challenges. It’s important to make sure we are humble as we navigate this world. It’s important to check up on the family and friends you haven’t spoken to in a while. Life is going so fast that it’s also important to be kind to yourself.
Last week, the actress Erica Ash passed away from Breast Cancer at the young age of 46. Those closest to her knew of her condition, but to everyone else this came as a shock. I have enjoyed her work over the years. The last time I saw her on television, I noticed her already small frame appeared even smaller. But I thought nothing of it being cancer. We saw the same thing with Chadwick Boseman. This opened my mind to this topic today. It’s a blessing to have this life and to be able to live. We must strive to live at our best while also being aware of those around us.
When you are on the phone with someone you care about, it’s so easy to go on and on about what problems you may have. Just make sure you ask the other person “how they are doing?” because “You Never Know.” Sometimes the strongest of people are dealing with something too.
If you’re out at a restaurant and the waiter forgot to bring the sauce you requested. Be respectful when reminding them because “You Never Know.” They could have gotten some bad news while on their shift that affected their good service.
If you’re working with someone new who you have been tasked to help. You may see they are having a hard time grasping the routine. Be mindful that this could be their first job or more advanced job as they try to get their life back on track.
In the end, this life we have can go down so many different paths. We all go through many things and “You never know” what the other person goes through. Just be more aware of those closest to you. Show them the love and support they deserve because these moments don’t last forever. “You never know” the amount of time you and other people have on this Earth.
So true, we never know what someone is going through. Be mindful, respectful, and sincere.
