Going to bed at night or day depending on your work schedule is a ritual because you set up your environment in a way that helps you relax and be in comfort until you must wake up. This includes the temperature of the room, the sheets on your bed, but most importantly the clothing (or lack of clothing if that’s your preference). When I go to bed at night, I love to take a shower and put on the pajamas that I’m feeling at that moment. Sometimes I want to be in cotton and other times I like my ‘silkies.’ When it’s a cold winter’s day I love to snuggle in my cozy pajama set and robe if it’s a little extra chilly and when it’s summertime I like anything loose with minimal material so my skin can breathe.
As women, some of us label ourselves as independent but when we must be around others or share our lives with a significant other, we resort to changing up our natural comfort during bedtime. For example, If you’re hanging out with the girls/family you may wear your cute Pajama set, If you’re happily single you may wear your nice cozy matching top and bottoms of any kind, if you’re single and dating you may wear something more flirtatious such as shorts and a cute spaghetti strap shirt, when you’re a newlywed or in a new monogamous relationship you may wear a nice silk teddy, and when you’re married for more than 10 years with kids you may be wearing anything other than your silkies.
So, imagine you live in a world of your own for a little bit and you are the Princess of the land, which option below (Thank You Fashion Nova!) is in your comfort zone so you can be the best Sleeping Beauty before a Prince, Princess or any other person wakes you up from the fairy tale?
