Season of Colors

Posted on April 10, 2024April 9, 2024 by Virtual Afro Woman

Spring is now in full swing and with it comes a variety of fashion choices. Gone is the heavy clothing of the winter season that weighs you down. Out comes the light and bright colors letting air onto your skin. As individuals we all have colors that we prefer to wear. They represent how we feel and/or our personalities. My favorite colors are various shades of red, blue, and green. I enjoy wearing many other colors but these 3 look good for the many clothing items that catch my attention. What are the different meaning to the various colors we love?

Red represents love and passion or danger and violence. Overall, it’s a versatile color that’s meaning is based on who you are.

Orange can bring vibrant and energic feelings along with representing creativity and movement. This color can also bring out a superficial personality.

Yellow is a color that symbolizes happiness and optimism. It brings out the fun and joy in most instances. On the other hand, it represents egotism and caution.

Green is a relaxing harmonious color. It ‘s the color of tree leaves in nature that can bring us a sense of hope and balance to revitalize our energy. But there are some people who use the color to represent jealousy and envy.

Blue can represent sadness and calmness at the same time. Each shade brings a different energy, but ultimately it brings trust and loyalty to the surface. In the negative, it brings a passive or depressive energy.

Purple is a spiritual color. It gives off a sense of wisdom that encourages positive energy. On the opposite side, it can mean sensitivity or being emotional.

Pink is for love and kindness. It can also be for shyness or immature behavior.

Brown inspires stability and reliability, but it can also give off a dull or boring attitude.

Black has the power to seduce you as it represents power and respect. It also gives off sexiness. But for some who are dealing with different things it can mean depressive emotions or just pure sadness.

Gray is in the middle of black and white as they are its creators. It’s a neutral color that can symbolize control or pessimism.

White is a pure color that is simple. It can either make you feel great or make you feel empty.

It seems my favorite colors have meanings ranging from loyalty and balance, to violence. Now when I decide what to wear for the day, I will think about these meanings to convey the positive or maybe even negative feelings I have for the day. So, what’s your color and what energy will you like to put out this spring season.
