Mental Wealth= Mental Wellness (Part Four- The Finale)

Posted on July 26, 2024July 25, 2024 by Virtual Afro Woman

On this day, I can truly say I am grateful to be alive. To be alive with good health minus a few punches. To have people in my life who I care about and who care about me. I am even grateful to have a career I enjoy (even though if I win the big lottery, I will not work full time anymore). I am full of gratitude all around. This life we have is not in our full control, but we can make it the best by putting in the work to achieve it.

Have you ever thought about keeping a gratitude journal or just writing it down in your phone?

Each day, so much can happen. Some of them are good and unfortunately the others are not so good and this can be stressful. Having the opportunity to write out the good parts of your day or what you are grateful for can help in relieving yourself of stress related to the negative events.

To start, think about this each day…

  • What went well for you today?
  • What made you laugh/brought a smile to your face?
  • Who in your life do you love?
  • What about yourself, do you love?
  • What in your life can you not live without?

This mental wealth of knowledge to put pen to paper can be useful to us all. Just as we all can easily scroll on our phone to look up things of interest, we can actively choose to keep a gratitude journal. The time is now to relieve our stress and prevent a lifetime of illness by creating a lifetime of wellness.

Below you will find some tools to help you start the process.
