Holiday Spirit (The Music Edition)

Posted on December 5, 2024December 4, 2024 by Virtual Afro Woman

The bulk of my holiday shopping took place in late September, early October. I do this to reduce the stress during the season and have more time to actually enjoy it. Also, because I get better deals on many gift items.  I feel like this year, the energy in New York City has a little bit more criminal activity for my liking, but in such a crazy world you must find your personal escapes. One of them for me is the Holiday music. I’m a big music fan in general, but when December comes, I enjoy the holiday tunes. I enjoy the classics very much because I can sing along to them. But I try to discover new music as well to add to my playlist. Being that R&B is my favorite music, here a few newer tunes that I have come to enjoy this season

“Let There Be Joy” by Jennifer Hudson

“My Favorite Holiday” by Ruben Studdard

“Santa Is Me” by Coco Jones

    “December” by Robert Glasper

    “For Christmas” by Lah Pat

“Love on Christmas Eve (Interlude)” by October London

I hope you enjoy these records, but here’s some of my favorite from all genres for you to enjoy as well.
