Holiday Spirit (The Movie Edition)

Posted on December 11, 2024December 10, 2024 by Virtual Afro Woman

I love the Christmas Holiday season, but the new movies start in October now, which is a little too early in my book. The funny thing is I still watch some of them early. In the last few years, there has been a more diverse selection that is more representative of the many cultures who celebrate the holiday. Most of these holiday movies usually have the same feel to them with someone falling in love, but in the end, this is the season of love and joy. So far this year, there have been some good movies and some mediocre ones, but here are a few of the ones I have enjoyed so far.

Style Me for Christmas (BET+)

Starring Raven Goodwin, Mario, and Pretty Vee

Meet Me Next Christmas (Netflix)

Starring Christina Milian, Devale Ellis, and Kofi Siriboe

Bebe Winan’s We Three Kings (Lifetime)

Starring Bebe Winans, Romeo Miller, and Deborah Joy Winans

Christmas with the Singhs (Hallmark)

Starring Ben Hollinsworth and Anuja Joshi

A Very Merry Beauty Salon (Lifetime)

Starring Tia Mowry and RonReaco Lee

Our Little Secret (Netflix)

Starring Lindsay Lohan, Ian Harding, and Kristin Chenoweth

Jingle Bell Run (Hallmark)

Starring Andrew Walker and Ashley Williams

The Day Before Christmas (BET+)

Starring Candace Maxwell and Tristan Wilds

Brewster’s Millions Christmas (BET+)

Starring China Anne McClain and Romeo Miller

So at the end of a long day, I hope you can sit down, relax, and get to enjoy a few of these movies this holiday season. There are still many more movies to be released, but tis the season for a sappy movie that can bring a smile to your face.
