Goodbye Summer

Posted on September 18, 2024September 17, 2024 by Virtual Afro Woman

It is now the middle of the week in the last full week of summer. Can you believe it? The summer season is pretty much over. Yes, summertime allows for warmer weather, more hours in a day, and more opportunities to do outdoors activities, but let’s keep this energy as we go into the new season. Keep the light on in your life. Don’t allow the upcoming shorter days and cooler nights dim your light. Continue to nurture your soul. Continue to tend to your self-care. So, on this mid-point of the week and the last Wednesday of the summer season, I want to give you some quotes you can use to keep your days bright in the fall season.

  • “Take the time today to love yourself.” – Unknown
  • “Keep your face always towards the sunshine, and shadows will fall behind you.” -Walt Whitman
  • “Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them.” -Madame C.J. Walker
  • “If you have the ability to love, love yourself first.” -Charles Bukowski
  • “Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside of you. Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion. Set your life on fire.” -Rumi
  • “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” -Theodore Roosevelt
  • “Don’t settle for average. Bring your best to the moment. Then, whether it fails or succeeds, at least you know you gave all you had.” -Angela Bassett
  • “Don’t count the days, make the days count.” -Muhammed Ali
  • “We all have two lives. The second one starts when we realize we only have one.” -Confucius
  • “Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” -Buddha
  • “A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything.” -Irish proverb

It’s not goodbye summer, I will see you later!
