Don’t Believe Me, Just Watch

Posted on September 23, 2024September 22, 2024 by Virtual Afro Woman

Happy Fall everyone! The season is here. The season when the temperature starts to cool down and you spend a little more time indoors. I myself dislike the cooler temperatures, but make the most of it until the Spring and Summer arrives again. When inside, I get more time to catch up on television shows and movies. Unfortunately, there are too many good shows around to watch, but if you have a little time, here’s a few of them I have seen or currently watching that I recommend you to watch as well. Enjoy the season.

Reasonable Doubt

Currently in Season 2 on Hulu, this show follows Jax, a lawyer. She is a tough attorney who takes on many high profile cases all while dealing with her own personal battles. In this season, she is representing a close friend, so watch to find out if she wins the case.

Only Murders in the Building

Currently in Season 4 on Hulu, This show follows a group of neighbors from a building on the Upper West Side in NYC. Since the first season, they seem to find themselves mixed up with murders that happen to take place in there building. The trio have now developed a friendship that have taken their investigative skills to the next level.

How to Die Alone

A new show on Hulu that follows the life of Mel, a 30+ woman who works at JFK airport. She is fighting a few personal battles related to love, finances, and family.

From

Season 3 has just premiered yesterday, but this MGM+ show is one to watch. What happens when you get a group of people who come to a town they can’t escape? What happens if they go outside after sundown? Catch up on the first two seasons to find out.

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist

A limited series about a local Atlanta man who tries to take his venue promotion business to the next level. On the night that Muhammad Ali is set to fight, he plans to invite some top criminals to an after party. What is unknown to him is that a group of men are planning to rob those who show up for this party.

Terry McMillian Presents: Forever

A Lifetime movie, that tells the story of a police officer who is a single mother and an army veteran returning to his hometown after deployment. They unexpected find each other following a traffic stop and we see the highs and lows of their love story.

Power Book II: Ghost

Currently, the last half of the final season is happening now on Starz. In this season, you find Tariq, the Tejada family, Noma, Davis, and Detective Carter all intertwined in criminal activity. This season takes us down a path to see who will end up on top.

The Penguin

A new series on Max, that follows the DC comics character Penguin. We are only 1 episode in, but it gives the feel of the tradition Batman universe with a mix of crime and power.
