This memoir is a book I took a chance on as my Amazon First reads selection a few years ago. After finally reading it this past year, I thought it would be a good selection to end the year. In it, you meet Jason a Swedish rapper born to an interracial American couple. As an adult, he goes through a moment of wanting to find out more about his roots on his father’s side which is African American. As a biracial man of a lighter complexion, he faced his own personal racism in Sweden as a child. A place his parents, more so his father escaped to from the racism in America. As we end this year, I must say a lot has taken place here in America this past year. A book about self discovery and family roots is a great way to usher in 2026. Happy Reading!
