With this month being the anniversary for the March on Washington on August 28th, I though this historical fiction was a good choice. In ‘Anywhere You Run’ by Wanda M. Morris, you have two sisters from Mississippi in 1964. It’s set in the summer when three men re murdered in an attempt to help Black residents fight for the right to vote. One sister is suddenly on the run after murdering a white man who violates her. The other sister leaves town following an unplanned pregnancy. In this book you get a glimpse into their lives in Mississippi and then that of the lives away from the state. I hope you enjoy this selection for the month. Happy Reading!
Check out your local library, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble for the book.
