Transition

Posted on January 31, 2025January 30, 2025 by Virtual Afro Woman

Today is the last day of January 2025. We are also at the beginning of the Lunar New Year. I work with many children and have a few co-workers who are Asian and celebrate this holiday. It is the year of the snake and in doing my own research it’s a year to focus on wisdom and transformation. The snake represents the personalities of people born during this time. One of the characteristics is having the ability to overcome obstacles or challenges. This has been a month for the books in U.S. History. We may not all be born under this animal, but hopefully it is a time of awakenings and focus as we transition into February. May we keep a positive spirit as we try to make it through the year.

February is a month that can be defined as one of love and togetherness. You have Black History Month, American Heart Month, and Valentine’s Day all wrapped up in 28 days. February is a word derived from the Latin word, ‘Februa.” The meaning of this word is “to cleanse.” In most cases, cleansing means ridding the body of toxicity. January is ending with toxic energy, so we shall rid ourselves of that energy as we transition into February. Let’s spread love any way we can. Happy February Eve! May this new month come in with more light and less darkness.
