May Flowers

Posted on May 3, 2024May 2, 2024 by Virtual Afro Woman

Today is the first Friday of the month of May. Hopefully the April showers are over, and the May flowers will bloom. With this said, there are so many showers that may have happened in your life, but when was the last time you smelled the flowers in your life? When is the last time you sat down to reflect on what is going well and being thankful for it. There are many times when we wake up each day going through our itinerary of responsibilities, but we forget to smell the flowers.

Some examples of the flowers can be…

  • Thank You for another day of life.
  • Thank You for a place to lay my head down to sleep each day.
  • Thank You for allowing me to have food in my stomach.
  • Thank You for having someone in my life who loves me.
  • Thank You for having a job to support myself and my family.
  • Thank You for getting me to and from my destination.
  • Thank You for allowing me to physically care for myself.

When you think of flowers, there are so many types with different colors and features. A sunflower has a nice yellow structure. A rose that is fully bloomed has a spiral-layered structure. A tulip usually has a two-toned color. With these differences, they all have beautiful smells that can make any room feel good. When you start to assess the flowers in your life, some may be more important than others, but they are all parts of your layers that help in making you feel good and be productive in society. May is just starting, so there is more than enough time for your May flowers to grow and be recognized by you.
