Ok Everyone, Ready, Set,…Action!- Holiday Season Activated

Posted on November 27, 2023November 27, 2023 by Virtual Afro Woman

The unofficial start to the winter holiday season has begun and it’s my favorite time of the year. The season to me is truly one of peace because during this time there’s this sense of love in the air that I feel around as I navigate life each day because most people have a agenda to work hard to be able to give time and gifts to the people they care about.

For myself, the day after Thanksgiving I go into full Christmas mode; the movies already started a few weeks ago, but the tree goes up, the decorations happen, the lights go into the windows, the candles start to burn, and gifts are starting to be wrapped as most of my shopping is done. So, at the end of this week, December starts and to get you ready and in the mood for the season ahead, here’s a few great recommendations.

The Tree: Many people use live trees, but I myself prefer saving trees and money, so I have an artificial one. My 6 feet tall tree is just the right fit for my NYC sized home bringing extra beauty to my living room.

The Decorations: Most of my decorations for my tree are shatter proof with enough shimmer and shine to make my tree sparkle along with the lights and a small Black Santa sitting right next to it.

The Smell: The scent I have come to love is Balsam; it makes the entire house smell of trees and is long lasting even after bringing the feel of being outdoors into the home.

Bath & Body

Fresh Balsam Wallflowers Fragrance Refill

The Movies: Each year channels such as Hallmark, OWN, Lifetime, TVOne, and BET have good original holiday movies that I overindulge in and here’s the previews for six of the many I have enjoyed this season

The Music: The tunes of the holiday as you clean up the home or just riding in your car brings joy into the day.

I hope you all are ready; cheers to a wonderful holiday season!
